How to be happy _by petrel

When we see others having better things,or when we fail to posses what others already have,we tend to become unhappy. However, if we can think in absolute terms, devoid of any comparisions, then we can be content and happy. Such people assess and try to fulfill their own needs rather than attempting to get what others have, and they are certainly happier.
The article above is what I read in a magazine named reader digest. It cause me to think over a lot of things I came across in the daily life. It  is exactly true that if we can let our mind free from so many things of no use,we can easily gain happiness which can not be bought with money. P eople always put themselves in pursuit of things that seem valuable but ignorant things they should cherish a lot. Then it is certain that their lives come out to be hard and unhappy.
As someone once said, all happy people are grateful people. Ifa we can keep a eye to discover things that you should to cherish and value, you will find life is so colorful and thanks a lot for that you can live in this world.
So,let's begin at this second and  discover happiness aroud us.

travel in Macao--by Ruby

Recently, I visit to Macao with my roommates. Here are some beautiful views, interesting place and delicious foods you can not miss once you visit to Macao.

Wine Museum

Here, you will be exposed to more than 1115 brands of wine, the history of wine-making, tool and utensils used for brewery, as well as various regional dresses of different regions of Portugal. Among the newly brewed wine, about 50 varieties of them are free for tasting, offering tourists rare chances to experience the famous wine!

Chapel of Our Lady of Penha

Chapel of Our Lady of Penha is a Chapel of Our Lady of Penha and was first built in 1622. The first chapel was erected by the crew and passengers of a ship which had a narrow escape from the Dutch. Later the chapel served as shrine for sailors embarking on hazardous voyages. The chapel today dates back to 1837 when it was completely rebuilt along with the Bishop’s Palace. And the bell tower of the Church is very distinctive and can be seen anywhere from the harbor.

Food

When you see these pictures, do you feel a little hungry, or you want to visit to Macao to taste all these food at once?

Placing your order

A friend and I were standing in line at a fast-food restaurant, waiting to place our order.

There was a big sign posted. "No bills larger than $20 will be accepted."

The woman in front of us, pointing to the sign, remarked, "Believe me, if I HAD a bill larger than $20, I wouldn't be eating here."

A lesson about blood flow and circulation

A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, he said: "Now, students, if I stood on my head the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I should turn red in the face."

"Yes, sir," the boys said.

"Then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?"

A little fellow shouted, "'It's because yer feet ain't empty."

pay more attention to civilization --by Sabrina

Traditional arts , as valuable cultural relics of a nation , are leaving contemporary people further and further away . so in my eyes , the government should subsidize musicians , artists . actors and drama companies . we as well as to pay more attention to them .

As essence of a local culture , traditional arts are one integrated part of civilization . When referring to the world "civilization" , wo denote far more than improvements in science and technology . without unique literary painting mentality , diverse music style and fresh film elements , how can a nation be called civilized ? those who segregate brilliant traditional arts from a nation's cicilization process are absolutely wrong !

In fact , a strong tradition can accelerate rather than hamper the process of a nation's modernization . Traditional cuture shapes our moral values and standards , and enriches our spiritual lives .the loss of tradition is too high a price to pay !

Triditional arts belongs not only to a nation but also to the whole world . the properity of traditional arts makes a significant contrabution to a nation's civilization .

The rainy day

When I was awake for feeling so cold in the early morning, I found that it was raining outside. Actually I do not like the rain. The rainy day made me feel so lazy and bored. I would not go anywhere as much as possible.

But this time is not the same. The small and soft rain falling from a gray sky let the temperature down. And so I feel so comfortable.

In a good mood I was attend to stand in the terrace and enjoy the rain scene. With the “hua hua” the rain was falling into the ground. The trees swung its hands with the spring wind softly and comfortably. The trees and the grass were in a jade-green color that meant for life and energy. In this time I did not think anything but kept deep-breathing and feeling the beauty life I had. It was amazed and wonder sense I ever had.

In the road below there were so many people walking on. They all were take the umbrella for use.. I started to pay more attention to them. There were so many different umbrella with kinds of colors and patterns. I think every umbrella can represent some things of the people who was using it. The black umbrella tells other that the man using it in the character of endocentric and mature. I think the girl who is taking the pink one is very happy and lively. And what is the character of the boy carrying the white umbrella? And what is his name? what does he or she looks like? Is he or she is the same with me loving the rainy day?

As I am thinking this funny question the rain stop and the sunshine are everywhere. I return to my room and take my bag to go to the library.
